YKK exhibited at ISPO, the International trade fair for sporting goods and sports fashion in Munich Germany which took place from the 6th to the 9th of February, 2011. YKK presented its latest innovations in fastening products on the BrandNew platform and supported the BrandNew Awards as a key sponsor. For more than 10 years, ispo BrandNew Awards have been considered the barometer for future trends with 2011 being its 20th session.

The competition aims to give young entrepreneurs and their sports products a platform on which to introduce themselves to the market. The 42 best products received a booth at ISPO and were promoted in numerous means of communication mediums. The ISPO BrandNew Awards are an excellent stepping stone for young brands and several of them have successfully started a prosperous business thanks to YKK’s support and sponsorship. The winners and finalists of the ispo BrandNew Awards are in the spotlight, not only at ISPO, but also on numerous TV Channels, thus getting the attention of a huge audience.

For all those who want to know exactly how fast they are on the slopes or how far their last jump was, Recon Instruments has the perfect tool. A GPS, integrated into the goggle, records in real time all relevant data like speed, height, distance, temperature & vertical height and displays them directly inside the goggle.

The system can be easily controlled even when wearing gloves and makes it easy to check the information in the lift or for a deeper analysis via USB on a PC.
